A hands-on leader and change manager with more than 20 years of International experience, he combines top-notch strategic skills with an eye for operational details, in which he does not mind getting involved.
He is a partner at Amati & Associates, a boutique growth advisory firm in Warsaw, and founded The Future Of, an online platform for design-centric insights, foresight reports, and business-centric technology deep-dives.
Filiberto also serves on the Board of Inclusive Growth Forum, an NGO in Geneva, for which he was a judge for the 2018-2019 MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge.
Prior to his polish homecoming, Filiberto had a vast international experience (living in Monte Carlo, Sint Marteen, Mexico, Belgium, and The Netherlands) in wines and spirits for Gruppo Campari and then for ILLVA Saronno. For them, he covered North and Central America and Central and Eastern Europe, with growing responsibilities from region management to marketing management to full P/L responsibility.
Before this experience, he worked as a consultant and freelance for Auberon in Amsterdam – a boutique marketing innovation consulting firm (for Philips, Heineken, Nike); for Plush Design in Barcelona ( for Vanity Fair, Circuit, Moet Hennessy, Prada Fragrances and Cosmetics); for Procter & Gamble in Brussels (Lenor, Downy, Light Duty Detergents).
In 2015, he earned a Doctor of Business Administration at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, researching Open Innovation and Polish Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and their barriers to innovating.
He holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, which follows his Master in Engineering and Management from University Federico II in Naples, Italy – where he graduated in 1998 with honors. In 1999 the University Federico II awarded him with the Guido Dorso prize for his research in the field of southern Italy SME.
Filiberto is the author of several publications, most notably: "Open Innovation: a primer" (2017); and "Cocreation: Mystery Solved" (2014). He also co-authored the academic paper: Amati, F. and Pestana, F., 2015. "Consumption Rituals: a Strategic Marketing Framework." Studia Ekonomiczne/Polska Akademia Nauk. His native language is Italian, and he speaks fluent English, Spanish, and is competent in French. He is currently learning Polish through daily interaction with his three children.
